SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision of the Director of Population Health, plans, implements, and evaluates strategies to prevent tobacco initiation and increase tobacco cessation for Washington County youth and adults.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES
Plans, implements, and evaluates all objectives outlined in grants
Prepares and submits grant documents
Reports on progress and outcomes of grant objectives
Builds and maintains professional collaborations with community partners
Represents the Washington County Health Department at public events
Facilitates and/or participates in meetings, conference calls, webinars, trainings and conferences relating to Tobacco Prevention & Cessation
Performs any and all other related duties as assigned or directed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in an allied health field or other approved field with relevant work experience
Proficient with Google suite or similar software
Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal and customer service skills
Knowledge of Appalachian culture and its impact on job duties

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Job duties include in-office work and field work, which may include some manual labor.

In-state travel is required and out-of-state travel may be required.
After 6 months and exemplary work habits demonstrated, remote work may be approved by population health director or designee and can be revoked at any time.
