Chief Deputy Auditor

The Washington County Auditor is currently seeking a sharp, polished, and
highly-motivated individual for the position of Chief Deputy Auditor.
The Chief Deputy Auditor will have direct supervision of all activities of four (4)
General Services Deputies and some supervision (payroll, sign-in and sign-out)
of four (4) remaining employees. The Chief Deputy Auditor will have full authority
in the absence of the Auditor.
The Chief Deputy Auditor will be responsible for:
Answering the telephone and handling routine inquiries or directing to the appropriate person to handle questions; waiting on the counter; and handling incoming requests for dog tags, conveyances, deeds, homesteads, etc.
Performing real estate transactions and processing deeds; processing requests for dog tags; issuing licenses for vendors, cigarettes, junkyards, manufactured home relocations, etc.
Handling Auditor’s office paperwork and performing data entry
Performing other duties as assigned
The ideal Chief Deputy Auditor will have:
Professional appearance
Experience with calendar/schedule management
Knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Word and MS Excel
Excellent communication skills
The ideal Chief Deputy will be:
Highly organized
Detail-oriented
Able to multitask
Punctual
Reliable
Additional preferred skills/attributes:
Bachelor’s degree
Managerial experience
Real estate experience, especially appraisal related
