Mundelein Illinois - Polar Plunge Team Wins Top Prizes Raises Most Money 29 February 2024 ( news )

   Mayor Steve Lentz and the Board of Trustees CONGRATULATE AND APPLAUD the 38 members of the Mundelein PD Frozen 5 . 0 2024 Polar Plunge team who collectively raised $14 , 338 dollars for Special Olympics . THANK YOU for going above and beyond to support a worthy charity AND for representing the entire Village of Mundelein with your team spirit and generous hearts . The team won “Top Cop” trophy for the most money raised by law enforcement .  They also won for raising the most money out of all participating groups! Lori Smith , IT Help Desk Assistant , won “Most Money Raised by an Individual” for collecting $2852 on her own!  Mundelein had four members who raised over $1000 each .   A total of 170 plungers participated in the Polar Plunge at the Fox Lake location . THANK YOU , Mundelein PD Frozen 5 . 0 2024 Polar Plunge team , …YOU MAKE MUNDELEIN PROUD!
