Mundelein’s FIRST fire truck , affectionately named “Old Number One” had a busy year . The Old Number One Preservation Committee reported they showcased the 98 - year - old 1925 Stoughton Fire Truck “Old Number One” at 24 events county - wide! Quite an active social schedule for an old - timer! Volunteers contributed 698 hours in 2023 for an average of 58 volunteer hours per member .
   THANK YOU to the Old Number One Preservation Committee members who lovingly devote their time , talents , and energy to care for this piece of Mundelein’s history!
