Preliminary Statement: On February 24th , 2024 , at approximately 1:38AM , officers responded to Grady Hospital at 80 Jesse Hill Junior Drive SE in reference to a person shot . Upon arrival , officers located a 34 - year - old female who was self - transported the hospital after sustaining an apparent gunshot wound to the left buttock . Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was at 2507 Donald Lee Holloway Parkway NW when she was confronted by a known female . The victim and the known female were in a verbal dispute that escalated into gunfire . The female suspect fled the scene immediately following the shooting . Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit arrived on scene to assist . At this time , the investigation is ongoing .
