    Preliminary Statement: On February 22nd , 2024 , at approximately 11:07PM , officers responded to 268 Polar Rock Road SW in reference to a person shot . Upon arrival , officers located a 17 - year - old male who sustained a gunshot wound to the right ankle . The victim was alert , conscious , and breathing and was transported to the hospital . Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was shot by a known male . The suspect fled the location prior to the officer ' s arrival . Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene to assist . At this time , the investigation is ongoing .
