NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the
Planning Commission
of the City of Hermosa Beach shall hold a public hearing at 7:00 p . m . on
Tuesday , February 20 , 2024
to consider the following:
A PRECISE DEVELOPMENT PLAN ( PDP 19 - 3 ) TO EXPAND AN EXISTING POWER FEED EQUIPMENT ( PFE ) FACILITY WITHIN A COMMERCIAL BUILDING AT 1601 PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY IN SPECIFIC PLAN AREA NO . 8 ( SPA - 8 ) . THE PFE IS A PART OF THE TRANSPACIFIC FIBER - OPTIC CABLES PROJECT THAT INVOLVES THE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF TWO SUBSEA CABLE SYSTEMS CONNECTING THE UNITED STATES TO COUNTRIES ON THE WESTERN PACIFIC RIM .
PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT ( CEQA ) AND THE STATE CEQA GUIDELINES AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT ( EIR ) ( SCH 2019080175 ) HAS BEEN PREPARED FOR THIS PROJECT . THE DRAFT EIR WAS MADE AVAILABLE AND CIRCULATED FOR PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT , FOR A 45 - DAY PUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 11 , 2023 TO OCTOBER 25 , 2023 . THE DRAFT AND FINAL EIR ARE ON FILE AND AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW AT:
