NOTICE AND SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO . ORD - 24 - 1473
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that on January 23 , 2024 the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach ( “City” ) will consider the adoption of Ordinance No . ORD - 24 - 1473 .
Ordinance No . ORD - 24 - 1473 amends certain sections of Title 17 ( Zoning ) of the Hermosa Beach Municipal Code to further clarify the City’s regulations and
prohibitions on short term vacation rentals and finds the same exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act . Specifically , the ordinance expands the definition of advertisement to reflect new features on various online platforms and clarify that if there is competing information on an advertisement , the lesser amount of time shall govern .
Ordinance No . ORD - 24 - 1473 was introduced for first reading by the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach at its regular meeting held on December 12 , 2023 .
