Town Manager
   The Town of Nolensville was recently given a grant from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation which is aimed at using State American Rescue Plan funds to implement water , wastewater , and stormwater infrastructure maintenance and improvement projects . We have selected a consulting engineering firm , Neel - Schaffer , Inc . , to perform a Town - wide inventory and condition assessment of Nolensville’s stormwater assets , develop a Town - wide stormwater study , and develop plans for stormwater capital improvement projects resulting from the study’s recommendations . Teams of personnel will be seen around Nolensville collecting information on the Town’s stormwater system . They will be wearing bright - colored vests and carrying iPads and survey equipment to collect information on the storm infrastructure between March 20 and mid - June .    The Town of Nolensville is pleased to announce its partnership with Greater Nashville Regional Council ( GNRC ) to assist in ensuring the accuracy of special census data . Field workers and town employees will be conducting door - to - door visits throughout Nolensville on Saturdays and weekday afternoons during the month of April to verify special census data recently collected by the town . The purpose of this effort is to ensure that our community is accurately represented in official census records , which will directly impact state shared revenues for Nolensville . By conducting this verification process , the town aims to capture any changes in residency or population size since the last census . With a 97% special census completion rate and a population of approximately 16 , 837 Nolensville looks to receive an additional $500 , 000 annually . In total , that means more than $3 , 000 , 000 could go back to Nolensville by 2030 because of this special census project alone . Field workers will be identifiable by badges with the town logo or as uniformed town employees . They will be equipped with official documentation and will only be requesting that residents verify information that they already provided during the first phase of the special census . Field workers will be going door - to - door in Nolensville beginning Saturday , April 6 and will continue weekday evenings and Saturdays until the process is complete .    The Town of Nolensville is seeking public input on the Town’s first10 - year parks and recreation master plan . This plan will outline priorities for Nolensville’s parks and recreation system for the next 10 years and is a requirement for the Town to receive grant funding from the state . Join us Monday April 8th from 5 - 7pm at Nolensville Town Hall to see the plans and give us your feedback . This will be open - house style event set - up with vision boards containing highlights from each section of the Master Plan . The input received from the community will help guide the recommendations in the Master Plan and help shape the future of Nolensville’s parks .    Police Department
   This week , the Nolensville Police Department attended the Axon Roadshow at the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office . The “Roadshow” allows vendors to demonstrate all the new gadgets for use in the world of policing and draws law enforcement officials from around middle Tennessee . This was a great opportunity for our department to learn about new technology and network with other law enforcement officials .
   Members of the Nolensville Police Department also attended the opening of the Liberty Federal Credit Union . We appreciate new businesses coming to our town , and we like to meet all the new employees .
   Officers from the Nolensville Police Department assisted with a presentation to the Municipal Technical Advisory Service ( MTAS ) Municipal Court Clerk Association meeting . This presentation was led by Vivianne Conn , the Court Clerk for the Town of Nolensville . She has an excellent presentation on the operation of Zoom Court , and we were happy to assist her with this presentation .
