nd
, 2023 , at approximately 4:00am , the Loveland Police Emergency Communication Center received a hold up alarm at the 7 - 11 located at 5586 N Garfield Ave , Loveland , Colorado .
Loveland Police Officers responded to the scene and contacted an employee who was bleeding from the face . The employee told officers a male in a tan sweatshirt entered the store and went to the liquor cooler . The cooler was locked because no alcohol is sold at that time of morning . The male reached around into the cooler from another door and grabbed a can of beer before attempting to leave the store .
The employee came around the counter and attempted to stop the male who then became physical with the employee , punching him multiple times and throwing him to the ground . The employee sustained significant injuries to his face during the altercation . It is important to note the other two customers in the video were not related to the incident .
The Loveland Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the male suspect who is pictured below . A video of the interaction is attached to the news release .
