   The city’s new social media tool Crowdriff allows residents and visitors the opportunity to have their social media post featured on the city’s website by using #CityofDurango .
   Using the hashtag allows the city to filter photos through the Crowdriff tool and pick out our favorites to be placed in the Follow Us section on our website homepage . The city will reach out via social media for rights to asset from individuals prior to posting the photos on our website .
   Working with Crowdriff aligns with the city’s strategic goal of creating a sense of place . Crowdriff helps the city highlight local events , city resources , and may even be used to hold fun photo contests around Durango . Show us the City of Durango through your eyes .
   Residents may also contribute their photos to other department homepages by using #DurangoParksandRec for the Parks and Recreation department’s main webpage , using #DurangoPublicLibrary for the Durango Public Library’s main webpage , and using #DROAirport for the Durango - La Plata County Airport’s main webpage .
   It is important to note that the hashtags used will be monitored , and only appropriate content will receive requests for use on the city website .
