The U . S . Department of Commerce just released their findings that tin mill products from Canada , China , Germany , and the Republic of Korea are being sold at unfair prices in the U . S . market , while tin mill products from China are also being subsidized . On the other hand , tin mill products from the Netherlands , Taiwan , Turkey , and the United Kingdom are not being sold at unfair prices . This shows that Commerce is committed to addressing unfair trade practices . After a thorough investigation , the following duty rates were determined for each country and company . In terms of subsidies , certain Chinese companies were found to have high subsidy rates . These final determinations confirm the preliminary findings , except for the investigation into Korean tin mill products , where corrections were made based on new information . So , some of the rates have changed based on feedback from the public . After we make our final decisions , the U . S . International Trade Commission ( ITC ) will determine if the domestic industry has been harmed by the unfairly traded imports . The ITC looks at how it affects the industry in the U . S . Only if both agencies agree , a trade remedy order and final duties will be put in place . Since Commerce has decided there were no issues with imports from the Netherlands , Taiwan , Turkey , and the United Kingdom , these investigations will end and there won ' t be any final duties .
