The US Federal Reserve Board on Friday announced the nominations for the chairs and vice chairs of the 12 Federal Reserve banks for 2024 . Each Reserve Bank has a nine - member board of directors . The Washington Board of Directors appoints her three of these directors and annually designates one of her appointees as Chair and the second as Vice Chair . The Board has also updated the Reserve Bank Board ' s gender and race/ethnicity statistical tables on its website . and the departments those directors represent .
