   The City of Richardson is celebrating Bike To Work Day , a chance to embrace the healthy cost - effective and environmentally friendly alternative to driving .
    
   The Mayor and City Council pedaled from CityLine to City Hall as part of a special event hosted by DART .
    
   Bike activity across the country was up 10% last year compared to 2019 .
    
   If you plan on taking a trip using your bicycle consider using the bike route on Google or Apple maps . The apps will find bike trails or low traffic roads with bike lanes to make your commute safer .
    
   May is National Bike Month .
