Wednesday , 1/17/2024 - The Village of Bartlett was awarded second place for its 2023 National Night Out celebration in its population category of 15 , 000 to 50 , 0000 residents . National Night Out is a unique crime prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch that is specifically designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police - community partnerships . Bartlett Police Department has proudly participated in 30 years of National Night Out celebrations and has consistently been recognized by the National Association of Town Watch as one of the best National Night Out celebrations in the nation .
Thousands of Bartlett residents participated in this past year’s National Night Out celebration by attending the National Night Out Picnic in the Park on Tuesday , 8/1/2023 and the different lead - in events . The Village of Bartlett would like to thank the Bartlett Park District , the Bartlett Fire Protection District , and all the businesses , civic groups , volunteers , and residents who contributed to the success of the National Night Out celebration . Bartlett Police Department presented the second - place award at the Village Board Meeting on Tuesday , 1/16 .
The Village of Bartlett has already begun to prepare for the next National Night Out , which will be held on Tuesday , 8/6 .
