Hey , so this guy named Robert A . Goldsberry from Madison just got sentenced to six years in federal prison for having a gun even though he ' s a felon . He got caught when he was speeding on Highway 51 and the cops smelled weed in his car . He tried to run away but ended up crashing into a signpost . When they arrested him , they found a loaded gun , a bunch of weed , and a ton of oxycodone pills in his car . This isn ' t his first run - in with the law either , he ' s got a history of armed robbery , battery , and dealing drugs . The judge said he ' s been in and out of jail and needs to be held accountable for his reckless behavior . The case was part of a program to reduce violent crime and involved local and federal law enforcement .
