   Wilmington’s Public Works Department has compiled the attached list of streets on which construction or maintenance will occur this week by the City itself , or by either DelDOT , Delmarva Power , or private contractors . This information is for 
   Monday ,
   February 19 
   through Friday , February 23 , 2024
    .   
   The City’s website contains a 
   real - time map
    that is updated daily so you can follow any changes to the weekly schedule caused by weather or other construction - related delays .  Public Works Commissioner Kelly Williams said every effort is made to compile the most accurate list each week of street projects that could affect your travel in the City the following week . She cautioned , however , that the time frames for the listed projects could be altered if they are delayed due to factors such as the weather .  
    
   The 
   Delaware Department of Transportation ( DelDOT )
    has announced the following projects that will impact motorists in and around Wilmington in the coming weeks:
   Crews continue to carry out the next phase of the Rogers Road Reconstruction Project
    .  
   Westbound Rogers Road remains closed between Medori Boulevard and South Heald Street and a detour has been posted .   The closure is expected to continue until
   Monday , February 26
    , but is weather dependent . Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area .
   The Walnut Street Bridge
    will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic between A Street and East Front Street for preventative maintenance on the bridge . The closure will start 
   Monday , February 26 and end on Sunday , March 3
    , and a detour will be posted . The work is weather dependent , and motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area .
