   Traffic Fatality – Pedestrian Struck
              
    ( Fayetteville , NC ) – On February 26 , 2024 at approximately 7:19 p . m . , officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the area of Eastern Blvd and Owen Driver in reference to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle .
    
    
   When officers arrived on scene , Emergency Medical Service personnel were transporting the pedestrian to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where the pedestrian was pronounced deceased . The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending the next of kin being notified .
   The Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit assumed the investigation . The preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was crossing Eastern Blvd and was not at the guarded intersection . A silver 2002 Acura operated by Tammy Davis ( White female , 56 years old ) of Parkton , NC had just gone through the green light and collided with the pedestrian .
   This is an active investigation . Anyone with information on this crash is asked to contact Officer J . Smith at 910 - 987 - 4510 .
