Feb . 29 , 2024 Election Update: On Feb . 28 , Cook County Circuit Judge Tracie Porter ruled to remove Republic Presidential Candidate Donald J . Trump from the upcoming March 19
   thIllinois Primary Ballot . However , this ruling is on hold pending the outcome of a case before the United States Supreme Court .
   Because of the case’s pending status , and with the guidance of the Illinois State Board of Elections , March 2024 Republic Primary Ballots will still have Donald J . Trump listed as a candidate . No changes are being made to the ballots .
   Anyone that has already cast their ballot , whether by Early Voting or Vote - By - Mail , should be advised that votes cast for candidates with pending objections may not be counted depending on the outcome of any objections . Once a vote is cast , it is final .
   The Kendall County Clerk & Recorder’s Office will follow any affirmed judiciary ruling as it relates to the 2024 Presidential Election . We will communicate any updates or rulings as they are made available to us .
