Preliminary information: On February 27 , 2024 , at approximately 6:09 p . m . , Atlanta Police Zone 4 officers responded to a report of a person shot near 2205 Meadowlane Dr . SW . Upon arriving on the scene , officers located a 17 - year - old male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound . The victim was alert , conscious , and breathing and transported to the hospital by ambulance . The victim was unable to provide responding officers with any suspect information or a reason for the shooting . Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident .
