   Preliminary Information: On 2/27/24 , around 1:29am , officers responded to a person shot at the location of 1687 Beechwood Blvd SW . Upon arrival , officers located a male victim with a gunshot wound . He was alert , conscious and breathing . Officers rendered aid to the victim and upon Grady arrival , the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment . Officers cleared the home and located a male suspect who was still on scene . The suspect was detained immediately . Preliminary investigation indicates the suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim during a dispute . The suspect , identified as Victor Carter , DOB 4/61 , was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and 2 counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon . He was transported to the Fulton County Jail without incident .
