☷Ohio Guard Partner Serbia Share Cybersecurity Expertise

RICKENBACKER AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE , Ohio - The Ohio National Guard had a visit from Serbian Armed Forces cyber professionals as part of the State Partnership Program on March 5 . The Serbians worked with cyber military members from different parts of Ohio , including the Ohio Cyber Reserve and the Ohio Cyber Range Institute , to learn about cybersecurity in Ohio and how it can be implemented in Serbia . The State Partnership Program aims to enhance regional security and promote U . S . interests by fostering relationships and interoperability . The Ohio National Guard is partnered with Serbia and Hungary . "Securing networks against attacks is a global issue , " said retired Army Col . Craig Baker , the Ohio Cyber Reserve program administrator . "Through the State Partnership Program , we can collaborate with the Serbians and help them improve their network cybersecurity , benefiting everyone involved . " In addition to working with cyber organizations , the Serbians also visited the 121st Air Refueling Wing and had tours of the KC - 135 Stratotanker , the Boom Operator Simulation System , and the pilot simulator . "The Serbian delegation found Ohio ' s national public - private partnership practices and experiences very valuable , " said Col . Dragan Mladenoviс́ , a Serbian Armed Forces cyber professional . "These experiences can greatly contribute to the development of Serbia ' s own cybersecurity capabilities . " Baker emphasized that the meeting of cyber experts was beneficial for both Serbia and Ohio . "We can exchange ideas and help each other in the fight against cyber attacks , " said Baker .
