ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Under the direction of a Public Works Supervisor, individuals will perform a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to:
Assist residents at the front counter.
Answer phones.
Take work requests for the various departments at Public Works.
Utilize the asset management system Cartegraph to input work requests taken.
Scan and organize files.
Other miscellaneous tasks assigned by either the Director or Superintendent.
Work well with supervisory and other office staff as well as laborers and maintenance workers.
PUBLIC CONTACT
:
The employee has regular contact with other City employees and some contact with the general public.
CONDITIONS OF CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT
:
Understand that, should the position be vacated, the employee is required to return uniform items and equipment supplied specifically for the position.
Understand the position is seasonal, part-time and never to exceed twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
:
The incumbent must possess the following minimum requirements in order to successfully perform the essential job duties.
EDUCATION:
Working toward or in possession of a high school diploma or GED. Please note that proof may be required prior to extending an offer of employment.
ABILITY TO:
Have and maintain an active telephone number.
Work a schedule that varies according to work load and weather conditions.
Ability to learn quickly and work with minimum amount of supervision.
