Nominations open for Avondale Leading EDGE “Nonprofit Organization” Award
Nominations are now open for the City of Avondale’s Leading EDGE “Nonprofit Organization” Award . This award recognizes one nonprofit organization for its outstanding commitment to serving the Avondale community .
“Avondale recognizes the vital role that nonprofit organizations play in improving the lives of its residents . Through this award , the city aims to honor and support those working in the human services sector , ” said Edith Baltierrez , Assistant Director for Avondale Neighborhood Family Services .
Nominations can be submitted through the online form , which can be found on the City of Avondale’s website ,

. The deadline for nominations is February 9 , 2024 . Self - nominations are also accepted .
The selected organization will be announced on social media , and will receive the Avondale Leading EDGE “Nonprofit Organization” Award at the State of the City event in April . Avondale residents are encouraged to nominate their favorite nonprofit organization or one that has made a positive impact on their lives . Nominees will be evaluated based on their commitment to serving the community , innovative approaches , and measurable impact .
