   Meet the James Beard Cookbook Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement Award winner , Dr . Jessica B . Harris at 7 pm , Thursday , March 7 at the Greensboro History Museum , 130 Summit Ave . Dr . Harris will be in conversation with Dr . Love Jones , Director of the Human Rights Department at the City of Greensboro .
   Dr . Harris is the author of twelve critically acclaimed books documenting the foods and foodways of the African Diaspora including
   High on the Hog: A Culinary Journey from Africa to America
    , which has been made into a Netflix series . She has written for most of the major food magazines including Gourmet , Saveur , Food & Wine , Cooking Light , Southern Living , and Eating Well . Dr . Harris has also made numerous television appearances on shows including The Today Show , Good Morning America , The Main Ingredient , and B . Smith with Style .
   There will be a reception and live entertainment with Katie Blvd . beginning at 6:15 pm . This free event is sponsored by the Greensboro Public Library Foundation as part of the library’s One City , One Book programming focused on
