Lexington Police Department Announces Appointments to the Police Chief’s Advisory Board

- - Police Chief Angela Greene announces the members of the new Police Chief’s Advisory Board . Four of these board members are returning for an additional year and the other seven board members will serve through the end of 2025 .
This Advisory Board will assist the Lexington Police Department ( LPD ) by focusing on contemporary challenges affecting the community and LPD . The board will assist the Chief with community input and recommendations on topics such as police - community relations , public awareness of services and programs , community policing initiatives , racial equity issues , use of force , mental health response , criminal activity and trends , and transparency in operations .
Board members were selected for their diversity of thought and veracity to partner with the police department in an effort to positively enhance the quality of life for all individuals within the City of Lexington .
The below board members are representatives from a cross section of community activists , marginalized communities , special needs groups , faith leaders , business owners , media representation , and collegiate representatives from W&L and VMI:
