The City of Lexington , Virginia will receive SEALED BIDS in the Office of the Department of Public Works , 890 Shop Road , Lexington , Virginia 24450 , until
2 February 2024 at 10:00 A . M .
, for IFB# COLEX - FY24 - 001 , Water Valve Demolition and Replacement – Rt . 251 & McCormick St . This project includes the installation of 40 LF of 6” D . I . waterline , 40 LF of 8” D . I . waterline , one 8” gate valve , and two 6” gate valves . This project is being let as Lump Sum , “No - Plans” Bid . Main and Valves approximately 84” deep . Existing Valves encased in concrete .
A single non - mandatory Pre - Bid Conference will be held in the Office of the Department of Public Works ( address above ) on Monday 29 January 2024 at 10:00 AM . All questions due in writing on 29 January by 3:00 P . M .
