While cold and snow in January prevented work on the roof for several days , the metal roof decking is almost complete . Skylight installation is expected to begin by early February . Flat roof installation is complete , allowing installation of mechanical ducts , electrical and plumbing to begin underneath the roof . Areas still in progress include exterior wall and roof insulation and interior wall framing . Once the building is enclosed , construction will be less susceptible to weather delays .
   Site work is wrapping up as final grades are being established around the project ' s perimeter . Paving , curb and gutter construction are on hold for warmer weather . The landscaping portion of the contract was approved this month , so landscaping will begin as the weather warms and site improvements are completed . Staff members continue to meet weekly to review progress and make adjustments as needed .
