This year , the 24 - year - old playground equipment at Marcy Park , 9373 Desert Willow Road , is one of two playgrounds scheduled for replacement .
   Join Metro District staff for a neighborhood meeting at the Metro District Service Center ,
   3280 Redstone Park Circle
    , on Feb . 13 from 5 - 7 p . m . , to learn more and share your feedback about Marcy Park . Construction is anticipated from mid - July through the fall .
   To help renew aging equipment , the Metro District schedules 1 - 2 playground replacements each year . Staff considers the condition of existing equipment and available budget when planning replacements . The second replacement is planned for Welte Park , 6512 Freeport Drive , from mid - August through the fall . A neighborhood meeting for the Welte Park project will be April 4 from 5 - 7 p . m . at the playground .
