   Katherine and Lucas French’s journey began long before their December 2023 wedding . Having known each other since elementary school , their paths intertwined as they grew up in Collierville . It was in their mid - twenties that they decided to casually meet at Square Beans , igniting the spark that would eventually blossom into love .
   One late August evening , Katherine and Lucas finished a dinner date at Frida’s in Carriage Crossing and travelled across Town to take a walk around the lake at WC Johnson Park . When they reached the gazebo , Katherine went to a bench to set down her backpack , while Lucas seized the moment . When she turned around , he had dropped to one knee holding a ring and asked Katherine to marry him .
   Their love story continued as the couple took engagement and wedding photos against the backdrop of Collierville Town Square .   
   “Since we both grew up here , the Square is iconic , so we knew we wanted to take our photos there , ” said Katherine . “It was raining , but there was a break in the rain , and we got some beautiful pictures with all the lights . ”
   The French’s love story serves as a testament to the timeless charm of our picturesque community .
