The morning of February 5 , 2024 , on the front steps of Town Hall , the Board of Mayor and Aldermen presented the Collierville Education Foundation ( CEF ) with a donation of $35 , 000 in support of local educators .
   Before the check presentation , CEF Board President Hinna Jamal shared “in 2023 , CEF enjoyed the best year in history; we were able to award $100 , 000 in grants . ” She also shared how the Town and local businesses supporting the mission of CEF is crucial for its success .
   The
   Collierville Education Foundationwas founded in June 1996 with the primary purpose of championing educational excellence in the Collierville public schools through fundraising which would provide grants to teachers for educational enrichment .
