Don ' t forget to vote
in the
2024 Presidential Primary Election
on Tuesday , March 5!
According to the Marin County Elections Department , only 12% of registered voters in Marin had submitted a ballot as of February 26 .
Contests appearing on the ballots of voters in Southern Marin include:
Measure A
: The Tamalpais Union High School District is seeking authorization to issue bonds to repair and upgrade its schools , including Tamalpais High School on Miller Avenue in Mill Valley .
County Supervisor
: District 3 incumbent Stephanie Moulton - Peters is running unopposed .
Proposition 1
: This state proposition would authorize $6 . 38 billion in bonds to build mental health treatment facilities and provide housing for the homeless .
Member of the State Assembly
: Three candidates are competing for a two - year term as District 12 representative , including incumbent Damon Connolly .
U . S . Representative
: Five individuals are seeking to be among the two top finishers in California District 2 and appear on the November 2024 ballot , including incumbent Jared Huffman .
U . S . Senator , Partial Term
: Seven candidates are vying to serve out the remainder of Dianne Feinstein ' s term , which ends in January 2025 .
U . S . Senator
: Twenty - seven candidates are competing to appear on the November 2024 ballot . The top two finishers , regardless of party , will advance to the general election .
President of the United States
: The primary candidates on your ballot will depend on your party preference if you have identified one .
Voting in Marin has never been easier . Options for getting your vote in on time include:
Return your mail - in ballot via postal mail with a postmark of March 5 or earlier . Mail - in ballots must arrive at the Elections Department within seven days of Election Day .
Place your ballot in an
official ballot drop box
by 8:00 p . m . on March 5 . Area drop box locations include the Sausalito City Hall parking lot and in front of the Marin City Library .
Drop off your ballot at a
vote center
in Marin County by 8:00 p . m . on March 5 . Vote centers in the Edgewater Room of
Sausalito City Hall
and the
Marin City Senior Center
will be open from 9:00 a . m . to 5:00 p . m . Saturday through Monday and 7:00 a . m . to 8:00 p . m . on Election Day .
If you have lost your ballot , you can go to any vote center to receive a replacement ballot . If you are not yet registered to vote , you can register and vote at the
Elections Department
in San Rafael until 8:00 p . m . on March 5 .

Returns will be posted to the county ' s
Election Results
page shortly after 8:00 p . m . on March 5 , then updated approximately every 60 minutes as ballots are returned from vote centers . The first report will include ballots cast during the early voting period and vote - by - mail ballots counted to that point .
