The formation of a Property Business Improvement District in downtown Sausalito is among the topics on the agenda for the regular meeting of the City Council at 7:00 p . m . on
Tuesday , March 5
.
The hybrid - format meeting will be conducted in the City Hall Council Chambers and via Zoom . It will also be
broadcast live
on the City website .

5A: Business Improvement District
.
The Council will consider its level of support for the possible formation of a
Property Business Improvement District
to fund ongoing enhancements to the visitor experience in downtown Sausalito . In order to move forward , district formation would ultimately require a majority vote of all property owners within the prospective district . The City of Sausalito owns several properties in the downtown area .

5B: Facility Assessment Study .
The Council will receive an update on a project to examine the buildings and structures owned by the City of Sausalito to determine the life expectancy and expected replacement cost of features like roofs and HVAC systems . The study will also look at vulnerability to sea level rise .

Tracy Way .
The Sausalito Police Department is seeking authorization from the Council for the customary closure of Tracy Way for use as a bicycle parking lot during the tourist bicycle season . The department is also proposing to take over staffing and management of the bicycle lot this summer .

Board and Commission Members .
The Council will consider modifying the municipal code to restrict representation on City boards and commissions to Sausalito residents by default but authorize the Council to set different residency requirements by resolution where it would further City goals , for example with regard to appointments to the Economic Development Advisory Committee .
