The City of Mont Belvieu, Texas is currently accepting applications for
seasonal
Concession Attendant
in the
Parks & Recreation
Department. The City of Mont Belvieu is a growing community located on IH-10 east of Houston, Texas in Chambers County.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pointe Grill and Wave Pool at Eagle Pointe Recreation Complex has seasonal opportunities for experienced concession staff. This position is responsible for the daily operation of the cash register, expediting food orders, restocking inventory, and ensuring the concession area, dining room and service area meet the highest standards in cleanliness and sanitation. In addition to the concession stand business of The Pointe Grill at the Wave Pool, concession staff is also responsible for catering and serving pool parties hosted at the Wave Pool. This includes checking-in guests, performing table and condiment setup, deliver and serve food in a buffet setting, and clean up after the conclusion of events. Staff must also be willing to prepare traditional concession food using standard kitchen equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports directly to Front of House Lead.
Greet guests upon arrival.
Operate cash register and manage cash till.
Expedite food orders.
Setup for events, which may include bussing tables, place settings, arranging table placement, putting up a buffet, etc.
Clean up after event’s conclusion, which may include breaking down tables, taking down table settings, etc.
Prepare traditional concession food using standard kitchen equipment.
Communicate effectively with staff and customers.
Checks and follows daily prep list.
Follow all EPRC policies and procedures.
Maintains cleanliness, organization and rotation of all areas, products and supplies.
Communicate with supervisor regularly.
Attend all required EPRC meetings and events.
Stay punctual and prepared for all shifts.
Respond quickly in the event of an emergency.
Maintain flexible schedule in order to meet needs of the Grill and Special Event demands.
Work independently, effectively manage own time and multi-task in a fast-paced, high production environment.
Notify the Food & Beverage Coordinator of any situations relating to quality, customer service, safety, productivity, security or any other situation that may have an adverse effect on The Pointe Grill.
Performs any and all other related duties or assignments as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must possess a valid Texas Driver License.
Food Handler’s Certificate.
Successful candidates must pass pre-employment drug screen, job related physical and background check.
