Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick and the County’s Parks & Recreation and Fire departments are teaming up to host a free pancake breakfast and free “Hoppin’ Down the Bonnie Trail” egg hunt event on
Saturday , March 16 .
The pancake breakfast and fire station open house will be held at Fire Station 20 , 5865 Judson St . , near Nellis and Lake Mead boulevards , from
9 a . m . to noon
. An egg hunt will follow from
10 a . m . to 1 p . m . outside the Bob Price Recreation Center , 2050 Bonnie Lane , next door to the Cora Coleman Senior Center and the fire station . Staff and volunteers from the senior center will serve pancakes at the fire station while supplies last . The fire station open house will include “jaws of life” demonstrations used to remove victims from car crashes , tours of the Fire Department’s fire prevention safety house and informational displays .
“We are happy to team up with Fire Station 20 and our staff and volunteers from the Cora Coleman Senior Center and Bob Price Recreation Center to host this family - friendly event each year , ” said Commissioner Kirkpatrick . “It always gets a great turnout , and we encourage kids and their parents and grandparents to come out and enjoy the fun . ”
The egg hunt is open to participants on a first - come , first - served basis by age group and time slot . Participants are asked to bring their own baskets to collect eggs . Time slots will be offered in 15 - minute increments , starting with the youngest kids first . Age groups and time slots are as follows: 2 to 4 years old ( 10 a . m . to 11:20 a . m . ) ; 5 to 6 years old ( 10 a . m . and 11:20 a . m . ) ; 7 to 8 years old ( 10:20 a . m . to noon ) ; 9 to 10 years old ( 10:40 a . m . and 11:40 a . m . ) ; 11 to 12 years old ( 11 a . m . ) ; 13 to17 years old ( noon ) ; and age 18 and over ( 12:20 p . m . ) .
