January 5 , 2024– In observance of Martin Luther King Jr . Day , many City offices and services will be closed or operating on an alternate schedule on Monday , January 15 .  
   City offices , collection services , and the Grace A . Dow Memorial Library will be closed . Residents with Monday , January 15 refuse and Monday Week 3 recycling collection will be collected on Tuesday , January 16 .  
   Dial - A - Ride will be operating regular phone service ( 8 a . m . – 5 p . m . ) and bus service ( 6:30 a . m . – 10:30 p . m . ) hours . The Midland Civic Arena will be open during its regular winter hours from 11 a . m . – 8 p . m . The Landfill will be open from 7 a . m . – 2 p . m .
