   – The Grace A . Dow Memorial Library now offers a support group for Alzheimer ' s and dementia caregivers . This free support group meets in the Library’s Community Room two times per month and provides caregivers with emotional , educational , and social support and encouragement as they take on the demanding task of caring for a loved one living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias .
   The group is led by an Alzheimer ' s Association Support Group Facilitator and provides a forum for caregivers to share feelings , needs , and concerns in a confidential , safe , and supportive atmosphere . Caregivers are encouraged to attend alone so that they can be open and honest about their personal experiences .
    The current scheduled meeting dates for the winter/spring are January 18 , February 1 , February 15 , March 7 , March 21 , April 4 , April 18 , May 2 , and May 16 . All meetings will begin at 1 p . m .
