The Sausalito City Council held a four - and - a - half hour strategic planning session in the Council Chambers on Saturday , February 10 . A complete

Highlights of the meeting included a review of the City ' s strengths , weaknesses , opportunities , and threats from each of the five councilmembers and a discussion of goals using the City ' s
2020 - 2026 Strategic Plan
as a starting point .
The Council and City staff also provided input on a list of councilmember - requested
future agenda items
. Items identified for prioritization in 2024 include money reserve policies , insurance , and sewer consolidation with the Sausalito - Marin City Sanitary District .
The meeting ended before there was time for a planned review of City finances . City Manager Chris Zapata recommends that members of the public review the
comprehensive report
on the City ' s current and projected financial position that was prepared by Finance Director Chad Hess .
