The City of Sausalito has bolstered its planning and engineering staff in City Hall with two promotions and the addition of two new employees .
New employee
Sara Khorshidifard
and former Assistant Civil Engineer
Ali Iqbal
together form a new team of project managers within the
Department of Public Works
.
In their new roles , Iqbal and Khorshidifard will be tasked with coordinating complex capital projects that have been prioritized by the City Council .
Former Assistant Planner
Matthew Mandich
has been promoted to associate planner within the
Community Development Department
. Joining Mandich on the department staff is new Assistant Planner
Adam Blair
.
Together with the department ' s other professional planners , Mandich and Blair will be tasked with ensuring that residential and commercial projects conform with the City ' s general plan , zoning ordinance , and municipal code , among other responsibilities .
Khorshidifard comes to Sausalito by way of Missouri and holds a PhD in Architecture . Blair is a graduate of UC San Diego who previously worked as a planning intern for the City of Santee in East San Diego County .
