   Enactment of Bill 2024 - 01
   ZONING TEXT AMENDMENT #23 - 180 CANNABIS
   For the purpose of amending provisions within the zoning regulations to accommodate licensed cannabis operations to be consistent with the Cannabis Reform Act of 2023 , which permits the sale of recreational cannabis and no longer limits the sale of cannabis to medicinal purposes only . By amending Chapter 297 – ZONING ORDINANCE , Article XIII , §211 – Alphabetical Listing; Chapter 297 – ZONING ORDINANCE , Article XIII , § 212 – Uses Corresponding with Table of Permissible Use; Chapter 297 – ZONING ORDINANCE , Figure IV - 1 , Table of Permissible Uses; Chapter 297 – ZONING ORDINANCE , Figure VI - 15 , Table of Permitted Uses for Hughesville Village Zone , Code of Charles County , Maryland .
   Bill 2024 - 01 becomes effective: March 23 , 2024
