PUBLIC NOTICE
   The Charles County Government will hold a public hearing on Tuesday , April 9 , 2024 , at 9 a . m . to obtain citizen comments concerning the Housing Choice Voucher Annual Plan . The public hearing will be held at the Charles County Department of Community Services , 8190 Port Tobacco Road , Port Tobacco Maryland 20677 .
   The Charles County Department of Community Services serves as the County’s Housing Authority ( HA ) and administers the tenant - based Housing Choice Voucher Program . The Annual Plan includes information concerning the HA’s Housing Choice Voucher Program . Copies of the draft plan are available for review at the Department of Community Services in Port Tobacco by appointment by calling 301 - 934 - 0130 or emailing

   Each speaker will be allotted three minutes . The hearing will end no later than two hours from commencement . Written comments may also be submitted to the Charles County Department of Community Services , Housing Authority , at 8190 Port Tobacco Road , Port Tobacco , Maryland 20677 by April 9 , 2024 in lieu of oral testimony or to expand upon oral testimony .
