Captain Andrew Leupp , who has brought his team to Fort Moore for the third year , expressed how enjoyable and educational the experience has been . Participants of all skill levels walk away with valuable lessons from this match . While success in the range matches requires individual effort and skill , teamwork is also crucial in overcoming the challenges of the event . "Everyone has their own troop , three or four Soldiers , sometimes more , and they help and mentor each other throughout the week , " Browning said . "Especially in the 400 - 500 yard slow - shooting [and other competitions] in . Everyone has the opportunity to learn from each other , and there ' s a lot to be said for mastering the basics . " USAMU designed Army - wide to get Soldiers out of their comfort zones in order to gain a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of marksmanship . Cadet Daniel Diehl , a student at the University of North Georgia , said: "Our team usually focuses on combat shooting , where we shoot at targets at extremely high speeds and mostly at close range , so we really haven ' t done that . Such long range shooting , especially with a rifle . " "We do try to practice shooting at least two to three days a week so we feel confident in what we ' re doing , but this is new territory for most of us . " Many of the Soldiers involved are looking forward to next year The entire army once again participated in the operation . “I just encourage anyone who watches the game show or hears about [All - Army] and maybe thinks , ‘Oh , I’m not good enough . ’ or anything that’s holding them back from absolutely coming to this game , ” Rupp said . "It ' s a great training event . If you ' re good at shooting , this is your chance to prove yourself to the best in the world . "
