Lastly , Sergio Bucio - Cuellar , a 57 - year - old from Mexico City , Mexico , got sentenced to time served plus some days for illegally re - entering the United States after being deported . He was arrested by the Cheyenne Police Department for assault and battery charges in December 2023 . It was discovered that he had been deported before and was in the United States unlawfully . The state charges were dropped once federal charges were filed . Assistant U . S . Attorney Cameron J . Cook handled the prosecution , and Senior U . S . District Court Judge Nancy D . Freudenthal imposed the sentence on February 14 . In another case , a guy named Xander Noah Miller from Broken Arrow , Oklahoma , got put on probation for two years because he assaulted someone . They were both working in Yellowstone National Park and lived together in employee housing . The park rangers were called when they had a domestic violence fight . Miller admitted to fighting and pleaded guilty in November 2023 . The case was investigated by the National Park Service , and the prosecution was handled by Assistant U . S . Attorney Cameron J . Cook . Recently , some people got sentenced for committing different crimes . In one case , a guy named Richard Wagner from Sheridan , Wyoming , got sent to prison for two years because he had a gun even though he ' s not allowed to because of his past felonies . He was caught by the Wyoming Highway Patrol during a traffic stop when they noticed he was trying to hide something in his car . They found a Glock pistol and some cocaine . Wagner admitted guilt in November 2023 . The case was investigated by the Wyoming Highway Patrol and the Bureau of Alcohol , Tobacco , Firearms and Explosives , and the prosecution was handled by Assistant U . S . Attorney Jonathan C . Coppom .
