The Mount Tabor Ruritan Club is sponsoring the Thirty - fourth Annual Blacksburg 4th of July Parade . We invite you to join us with your floats , bicycles , wagons , marchers , walkers , antique/classic cars , race cars , horses , fire engines , scouts , bands , sports teams , etc .
When:
Monday , July 4 , 2022 , beginning at 2:00 p . m .
Route:
Beginning at Midtown Blacksburg and Eheart Street SE .
Parade will end on Alumni Mall , near Tech’s Drillfield .
Check - in & Line up:
1:30 p . m . — Line up on Eheart Street . ( See attached map . ) Line - up positions will be e‐mailed to participants a few days before the parade . Mount Tabor Ruritan Club members will be on hand to assist with line - up .

Thanking Medical Personnel & First Responders
Float Limitations:
No more than 13 feet high . Candy may be passed out , but MUST NOT BE THROWN FROM VEHICLES . This is so that kids don’t run into the street near vehicle wheels to pick up candy . Vehicles must travel at parade speed and not accelerate towards spectators .
Blue Ribbon Awards will be awarded at the judges’ discretion .

Beginning at 6 p . m . , the Blacksburg Parks & Recreation Department ( 540 - 443 - 1100 ) will have music , food and entertainment near the Blacksburg Recreation Center , ending with fireworks at 9:30 p . m .
