Lewisville Animal Shelter “Pet of the Week” – Cornelius
In an effort to spread the word about animal adoption and to help these loving animals find fur - ever homes , the City of Lewisville will feature a Pet of the Week each week in this media packet , available for adoption at the
Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center
, 995 E . Valley Ridge .
This week’s featured pet is Cornelius . He is a 2 - year - old Labrador/Great Dane mix who came to the shelter as a stray . He has a very charming personality and loves to play . He is vaccinated , wormed , microchipped , heartworm negative , had flea treatment applied , and is sterilized .

. Just click on his pictures and follow the unique URL to begin an online adoption application . Once the application has been submitted , Lewisville Animal Services will call the applicant on or before the next business day . If approved , staff will counsel the potential adoption and will schedule an appointment for an in - person visit with Cornelius .
ADOPTION FEES WAIVED FOR ALL DOGS OVER 20 POUNDS THROUGH WEDNESDAY , JAN . 31
The Animal Shelter is waiving adoption fees through Wednesday , Jan . 31 , for dogs over 20 pounds . The regular adoption fee is $90 .
