The Public Works Department is monitoring weather conditions and is preparing for the upcoming snowfall expected to begin this evening and carry into early Wednesday morning .   The Department has a schedule in place for staff to respond with snow & ice operations .   Later in the week , a heavier snowfall is expected for Friday , January 12 .   Please keep the following in mind:
   Drive carefully and minimize travel if possible
   It is unlawful to plow or move snow from private parking lots or driveways and deposit it on Village streets or the right - of - way
   It is unlawful to park any vehicle on Village streets after a 2" snowfall .   This restriction remains in effect for a 24 - hour period after a snowfall , or until the street is cleared
   At the beginning of a snow event , staff begin by focusing on clearing the center of roads and will return to clear roads curb to curb once center lanes have been opened
