WILLISTON , N . D . – The Williston Fire Department ( WFD ) will host its first public Oath Ceremony on Tuesday , May 3 , 2022 .
   WFD will recognize the following employees who have successfully completed their probationary period with the department:
   Firefighter/EMT Daniel Flathers
   Firefighter/EMT Keegan Schwab
   Firefighter/EMT Fernando Malvar
   Paid on Call Firefighter Leonard Chase O’Neill
   A short ceremony will be held at 6:00 p . m . in the John Kautzman Chamber Room in City Hall located at 22 East Broadway to recognize the hard work of these four WFD personnel . Assistant Chief Corey Johnson will be the key speaker .
   “The Fire Department Oath is issued and presented to those beginning their careers in the emergency services , ” explained Fire Chief Matt Clark . “The oath is a reminder of their commitment to the community and their fellow firefighters as they complete their one - year probationary period and their pledge to the continued protection of our community . We are proud of their hard work and are excited for each of them and their families to join our fire family . ”
