A message from the Wright County License Center: 
   We received our initial shipment of the “Black Out” plate and Minnesota Vikings plate . Like all other specialty plates available , there is an annual contribution fee that is associated with the plate . The Black Out plate contribution fee goes to the Minnesota Department of Driver & Vehicle Services while the Vikings plate contribution goes towards the Vikings Charitable Foundation . Both plates are currently available for purchase . Additional new plates include the Lions Club International , Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives and the Minnesota Twins . Those plates can be also ordered , but they will be mailed out as we were not given those designs to have on hand . All new plates can be personalized for an additional fee . Customers with existing personalized plates can also transfer their personalization to a different plate design as long as character limits are not exceeded for that plate type .
