Art Talk to feature art tips , hacks , and questions
The Visual Art League of Lewisville will hold its first meeting of the new year and invites everyone to a special Art Talk “Come Art & Play” on Tuesday , Jan . 9 , 7 p . m . , at Lewisville Grand Theater , 100 N . Charles Street .
This meeting is intended to reinvigorate attendees’ creativity , jumpstart their motivation , and encourage them to learn tips , trips , and hacks from fellow members . The meeting is open to VAL members and guests .
Attendees will share and discuss their favorite art hints , tips , and hacks . They also can relax , unwind , and enjoy snacks while meeting other artists as they color , paint , and embellish a puzzle piece . Each individual puzzle piece will be pieced together to reveal a complete puzzle at the end of the meeting .
The Visual Art League of Lewisville is one of eight local groups receiving funding from the City of Lewisville through a grant program designed to foster cultural and fine arts in the community .
This event is consistent with recommendations in the “Old Town” and “Identity , Place , and Communications” Big Moves of the Lewisville 2025 vision plan .

The Grand is Lewisville ' s home for the arts . It presents a variety of regional and national touring performers , art exhibits , and classes , while also giving the many arts groups in the greater Lewisville area a facility to perform and display their works . Its multiple performance spaces play host to a variety of events , including live music , theater , dance performances , comedy shows , and more . The center features the 294 - seat Huffines Performance Hall , black box theater , recital hall , art gallery , and courtyard .
To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E , take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street . The Grand will be on the left . Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets , or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center .
