On February 9 , 2024 , at approximately 4:30 p . m . , deputies were dispatched to the report of a disconnected call for help in the 1600 block of S . Mission Road in Fallbrook .   When they arrived , they found an unknown adult male deceased from stab wounds .   A witness advised deputies a potential suspect fled from the area on foot with blood on his clothing .   After a foot pursuit , deputies were able to safely detain the suspect .  
   Homicide detectives arrested 35 - year - old Brian Francis Zielinski for killing the victim .   Zielinski was booked into San Diego Central Jail for 187 ( A ) PC – Murder .
   At this time the victim ' s identity has not been confirmed .
   Sheriff ' s Homicide investigators are working to gather more information to determine the circumstances and motivation behind this death . The investigation is ongoing .

   Resumen del incidente
